THINGS MADE OF EARTH by ISABELLA BETIATO
The Studio
Monaad is a Los Angeles ceramics studio founded by Isabella Betiato. As an art director and ceramicist, Bella found in pottery a means of expression where she explores themes of gentle living, slowing down, and the rituals of human connection that come from intentional pouring, sharing, and sipping.

INFLUENCES
Monaad pieces encourage pause and gentleness, influenced by Bella’s South American upbringing paired with an appreciation for pieces that add to the rituals of every day living, Monaad pieces aim to offer balance and grounding.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
All pieces are created by hand between Bella’s home studio and her shared space in Los Angeles. Each detail is deeply inspired by her journey as a designer and artist as well as love for Japanese craftsmanship such as Wabi-sabi and Shibui. These influences can be seen in Monaad pieces through a quiet grace and refined simplicity.
NOWNESS
More than offering functional items, MONAAD exists to influence the way we cultivate moments of calm and to encourage an emotional state that soothes the senses and improves one's quality of life, inspiring presence in the every day.
